Newborn Session Details
As you're considering Mel Madden Photography for your newborn photos, here are a few specifics about my newborn sessions:
~ I really love "lifestyle newborn photography" and aim to capture beautiful, natural interactions between parents and newborns during those first couple of weeks of your baby's life. Sweet snuggles, those adoring looks as you admire your new baby, and the way that tiny little head fits into the palm of your hand - these are some of the precious moments that will be included in your gallery. If the baby is in a sound sleep, I will also do a few more "posed" shots of the newborn in various wraps.
~ As a mom of three young boys, I understand that newborns may be unpredictable. I will not rush the shoot and will allow as much time as necessary to get all of the shots we need. Newborn sessions will typically run close to 2 hours and sometimes longer
~ I will give you plenty of space when needed to feed, change, or soothe your baby
~ I understand that baby skin is extremely sensitive. I have purchased a few very simple props (hats and wraps) and blankets and will have everything washed thoroughly in Dreft before your session
~ The best time to schedule a new born shoot is between 7 - 14 days old, when babies are still so very sleepy and in their adorable curled up position. If this timeframe doesn't work well for you, we can schedule a time that works great for you!
